۞ Say those who look not to encounter Us, 'Why have the angels not been sent down on us, or why see we not our Lord?' Waxed proud they have within them, and become greatly disdainful. 21 The Day, when they will see the angels, will not be a day of rejoicing for the criminals; they will cry out, "May Allah save us!" 22 And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust. 23 The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place. 24 The Day the heaven shall be rent asunder with clouds, and angels shall be sent down, descending (in ranks),- 25 and the Absolute kingdom will belong to the Beneficent God. 26 And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. 27 Woe to us! Would that we had not been friends with so and so. 28 he made me forgetful of the warning after it had reached me. Satan is man's great betrayer." 29 And the Apostle cried out: O my Lord! surely my people have treated this Quran as a forsaken thing. 30 And even so We appointed unto every prophet an enemy from among the culprits. And thine Lord sufficeth as Guide and Helper. 31 And those who disbelieve say: wherefore is the Qur'an not revealed unto him entire at once! Thus - We reveal - that We may establish thy heart therewith; and We have repeated it with a repetition. 32 And they shall not bring to you any argument, but We have brought to you (one) with truth and best in significance. 33 The ones who are gathered on their faces to Hell - those are the worst in position and farthest astray in [their] way. 34
