Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the white forenoon 1 And [by] the night when it covers with darkness, 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you orphaned and shelter you? 6 And He found you lost and guided [you], 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 And abundantly proclaim the favours of your Lord. 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
