The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens with constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 with fire abounding in fuel, 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And to that which they did to the believers were witnesses. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Lo! they who persecute believing men and believing women and repent not, theirs verily will be the doom of hell, and theirs the doom of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 and the Most Effective in His decision. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
