And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you worship Ba`al and abandon the Best Creator. 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
