Surely We brought man into being out of dry ringing clay which was wrought from black mud, 26 And the jinn, We had created them afore of the fire of the scroching wind. 27 And when your Lord said to the angels: Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 28 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;" 29 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 30 except Iblis; he refused to join those who prostrated. 31 (Allah) said: "O Iblis! what is your reason for not being among those who prostrated themselves?" 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 Said Allah, “Therefore exit from Paradise, for you are an outcast.” 34 Upon thee shall rest the curse, till the Day of Doom.' 35 Satan said, "O my Lord! Grant me respite till the Day of Resurrection." 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 Till the Day of the Time known. 38 He said: My Lord! because Thou hast made life evil to me, I will certainly make (evil) fair-seeming to them on earth, and I will certainly cause them all to deviate 39 except the devoted amongst Your worshippers. 40 (Allah) said: "This (way of My sincere servants) is indeed a way that leads straight to Me. 41 Verily as for My bondmen, no authority shalt thou have over them, except the erring one who follow thee. 42 and for all such, behold, hell is the promised goal. 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
