Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
