And the disbelievers said, “Will we, when we and our forefathers have turned into dust, be removed again?” 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 They also say: "When will this promise (come to pass)? (Say) if ye are truthful." 71 Say: "The chastisement whose hastening you have been asking for, maybe a part of it has drawn quite near to you." 72 And verily thine Lord is full of grace for mankind, but most of them give not thanks. 73 And indeed your Lord knows what is hidden in their bosoms, and what they disclose. 74 there is nothing hidden in heaven and on earth, but is recorded in a clear Book. 75 BEHOLD, this Qur'an explains to the children of Israel most [of that] whereon they hold divergent views; 76 and it is a guidance and mercy for the believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in God; thou art upon the manifest truth. 79 Truly thou canst not cause the dead to listen, nor canst thou cause the deaf to hear the call, (especially) when they turn back in retreat. 80 Nor can you be a guide to the blind out of their error; you cannot make to bear (any one) except those who believe in Our communications, so they submit. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
