Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching person (a believer). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes, We are Able to put together in perfect order the tips of his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Certainly not! There will be no place of refuge. 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Indeed, man shall be a witness against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Move not thy tongue therewith that thou mayest hasten therewith. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Yet you love this hasty world 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be gloomy, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
