Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
