In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
