The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 the fire abounding in fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah encompasses them on every side. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
