The Comet (Al-Taareq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I CALL TO witness the heavens and the night Star -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a drop emitted- 6 Emerging from between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the rotating heavens 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 it is not a jest. 14 Verily they are plotting a plot. 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
