۞ God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me". 51 And His is all that is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him [alone] obedience is always due: will you, then, pay reverence to aught but Him? 52 Whatsoever blessing you have, it comes from God; then when affliction visits you it is unto Him that you groan. 53 And then, when He averts the misfortune from you, a group among you starts ascribing partners to their Lord! 54 So (as a result of that) they deny (with ungratefulness) that (Allah's Favours) which We have bestowed on them! Then enjoy yourselves (your short stay), but you will come to know (with regrets). 55 And they (even) assign, to things they do not know, a portion out of that which We have bestowed for their sustenance! By Allah, ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions. 56 They assign daughters to God, glory be to Him!, but for themselves [sons] that they desire to have. 57 When the glad news of the birth of their daughter is brought to them, their faces turn gloomy and black with anger. 58 Skulking from the people because of the evil of that which hath been announced unto him: shall he keep it with ignominy or bury it in the dust? Lo! vile is that which they judge! 59 To those who believe not in the Hereafter, applies the similitude of evil: to Allah applies the highest similitude: for He is the Exalted in Power, full of Wisdom. 60
