The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 By the Promised Day! 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy, 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 it is He who begins and repeats [His creation], 13 and He is the All-forgiving, the All-loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Have you not heard the story of the hosts 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 written on a preserved Tablet. 22
