The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Do not oppress the orphan, 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 But tell of the favors of your Lord! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
