Animals (Al-An 'aam)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
All praise is to Allah, Who has created the heavens and the earth, and has created darkness and light; yet the disbelievers appoint equals (false deities) to their Lord! 1 He it is Who created you from clay, then He decreed a term; and there is a term named with Him; still you doubt. 2 And He is Allah (to be worshipped Alone) in the heavens and on the earth, He knows what you conceal and what you reveal, and He knows what you earn (good or bad). 3 yet every time a sign comes to them from their Lord, they turn away from it. 4 For they had denied the truth when it came to them, but there is going to reach them the news of what they used to ridicule. 5 Do they not consider how many a generation We have destroyed before them, whom We had established in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the clouds pouring rain on them in abundance, and We made the rivers to flow beneath them, then We destroyed them on account of their faults and raised up after them another generation. 6 And if We had sent to you a writing on a paper, then they had touched it with their hands, certainly those who disbelieve would have said: This is nothing but clear enchantment. 7 They say: "How is it no angel was sent down to him?" Had We sent an angel down the matter would have come to end, and they would have had no respite. 8 And had We appointed him an angel, We indeed would have made him a man, and We would have certainly caused them confusion in a matter which they have already covered with confusion (i.e. the Message of Prophet Muhammad SAW). 9 Surely the apostles have been mocked before you; but what they had mocked rebounded on the mockers themselves. 10
