Do not these unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were an integrated mass, then We split them and made every living thing from water? Will they not believe even then? 30 And We have placed in the earth firm mountains lest it should move away with them, and We placed therein passages for paths, that haply they may be guided. 31 and We set up the heaven as a roof well-protected; yet still from Our signs they are turning away. 32 It is He who created the night and the day, the sun and the moon, each swimming in a sky. 33 And We appointed not for any human being before thee immortality; if thou then diest, are they to be immortals? 34 Every living being must taste death; and We test you with harm and with good – a trial; and to Us only you have to return. 35 But [thus it is:] whenever they who are bent on denying the truth consider thee, they make thee but a target of their mockery, [saying to one another,] "Is this the one who speaks [so contemptuously] of your gods?" and yet, it is they themselves who, at [every] mention of the Most Gracious, are wont to deny the truth! 36 Man is created of haste, I will show you My Ayat (torments, proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.). So ask Me not to hasten (them). 37 And they say: "When will this promise (come to pass), if you are truthful." 38 If they but knew - they who are bent on denying the truth - [that there will come] a time when they will not be able to ward off the fire from their faces, nor from their backs, and will not find any succour! 39 It will come upon them unawares confounding them, and they will not be able to keep it back, nor will they be given respite. 40 Indeed (many) Messengers were mocked before you (O Muhammad SAW), but the scoffers were surrounded by that, whereat they used to mock. 41
