The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ta. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 You will perhaps kill yourself with anguish because they are not accepting the faith. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it. 5 Surely they have done with denying; soon will come to them the news of what they were laughing at. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 Verily therein is a sign; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9
