The people of Lot accused the messengers of lies. 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds; 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 He said: Surely I am of those who utterly abhor your doing; 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 But the rest We destroyed utterly. 172 by pouring upon them a terrible shower of rain. How evil was the rain for those who had been warned! 173 In this there is an evidence of the Truth, but many of them did not have any faith. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
