And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 (and We said to him): “Take in your hand a bundle of rushes and strike with it, and do not break your oath.” Indeed We found him steadfast. How excellent a servant (of Ours) he was. Indeed he constantly turned (to his Lord). 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ having beside them well-matched mates of modest gaze." 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Most surely this is Our sustenance; it shall never come to an end; 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 And other Penalties of a similar kind, to match them! 58 Their leaders will be told, "This band will also be thrown headlong with you into hell." Their leaders will exclaim, "May condemnation fall upon them! Let them suffer the torment of fire". 59 Their followers will say, "In fact, it is you who deserve condemnation. It was you who led us to hell, a terrible dwelling". 60 They will say: "O Lord, give him who has brought this upon us two times more the torment of Hell;" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
