And assuredly We delivered the Children of Isra'il from an ignominous torment 30 and from the Pharaoh. He was the chief of the transgressors. 31 And certainly We chose them, having knowledge, above the nations. 32 And gave signs to them in which there was a clear trial. 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 "There is nothing but our first death, and we shall not be resurrected. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better, or the folk of Tubb'a and those before them? We destroyed them, for surely they were guilty. 37 For [thus it is:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in mere idle play: 38 We created them in nothing else except the truth. But most do not know. 39 The Day of Final Decision is the appointed time for all; 40 The Day when no relation will avail a relation at all, nor will they be helped - 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
