Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
