Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
