۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 Kept in a secure Book. 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 If he is among the near 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
