Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Indeed yes, We are able to shape his fingerstips yet again! 4 Yet man wants to deny what is ahead of him: 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day the human shall be informed of his former and latter deeds. 13 Oh, but man is a telling witness against himself, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 and are heedless of the Everlasting Life. 21 Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and beauty);- 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And that day will other faces be despondent, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Nay! When it comes up to the throat, 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 And one leg will be joined with another: 29 On that day, the herding will be only towards your Lord. 30
