Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 he asks, "When is this Day of Resurrection to be?" 6 but when the sight is dazed 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 when the sun and moon are gathered together 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No! There is no refuge. 11 With your Lord alone shall on that day be the place of rest. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Do not forestall (the revelation before its completion) by acting in haste. 16 Lo! upon Us (resteth) the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Upon that day faces shall be radiant, 22 and will be looking towards their Lord; 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 and when he thinks it is the time of departure 28 And agony is heaped on agony; 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
