Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 and the severally severing 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
