The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 And when the seas rise, 6 And when souls are reunited, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 and sit during the day, or by the darkening night 17 and the morn as it breathes. 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman; 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
