Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are laid open: 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! What has made you careless concerning your Lord, the Most Generous? 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 noble, writers 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Indeed the virtuous are in serenity. 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when a soul will not possess for another soul [power to do] a thing; and the command, that Day, is [entirely] with Allah. 19
