The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 When they sat by it (fire), 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Surely (as for) those who believe and do good, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow, that is the great achievement. 11 The grip of your Lord is indeed severe, 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the All-forgiving, the Most Loving One, 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 Effecter of what He intends. 16 Has the story reached you of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
