Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the star shining brightly. 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not amusement. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
