The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 and who determines the nature [of all that exists,] and thereupon guides it [towards its fulfilment,] 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows the manifest, and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 The one who will enter the biggest fire. 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 But the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
