Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 On that day the faces of some people will be humbly cast down, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 They will enter in the hot blazing Fire, 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 no food for them except thorny plants 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 [And] some faces will on that Day shine with bliss, 8 well-pleased with their striving. 9 In the high empyrean, 10 Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood, 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 And arranged carpets. 15 And silken carpets spread. 16 What, do they not consider how the camel was created, 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed, 19 And at the earth - how it is spread out? 20 Therefore remind, you are only a Reminder. 21 and are not invested with the authority to compel them. 22 But whoever turns back and denies the truth, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 Indeed, to Us they shall return, 25 Then surely upon Us is the taking of their account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
