The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 and the brooding night! 2 your Lord has not forsaken you, nor is He displeased with you, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you unaware of the Right Way, and then directed you to it? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 Therefore, as for the orphan, do not oppress (him). 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it]. 11
