Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 when it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous." 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 That was indeed a clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
