So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 So which then of your Lord's favors do you dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
