The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ (Allah) Most Gracious! 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 Created man, 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 The plants and trees prostrate before Him. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 And establish the measures justly, nor decrease the due weight. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man of clay like the potter's, 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 In-between the twain is a barrier which they pass not. 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 There come forth from them pearls, both large and small. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 25
