a good many of olden times, 39 and a multitude of the later people. 40 As for the people on the left hand, how miserable they will be! 41 (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, 42 And in the shades of Black Smoke: 43 Neither cool nor beneficial. 44 They had lived in luxury before this 45 and they persisted obstinately in awful sin, 46 and constantly said: 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we then be restored to life? 47 And so will our fathers?" 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 will be brought together for an appointment on an appointed day. 50 Then shall you, O you who err and call it a lie! 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 And will fill your bellies therewith; 53 Then drink over it of boiling water; 54 Drinking even as the camel drinketh. 55 Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital! 56 We! it is We Who created you: wherefore confess ye not? 57 Did you ever consider the sperm that you emit? 58 Do ye create it or are We the Creator? 59 We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone 60 that We may exchange the likes of you, and make you to grow again in a fashion you know not. 61 And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed? 62 Have you thought about what crops you plant? 63 Do you give it its increase, or are We the giver? 64 If We will We can make it like dry trampled hay, so you would keep crying out. 65 (Saying:) 'We are laden with debts! 66 Nay! we are deprived. 67 Have ye observed the water which ye drink? 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds or We? 69 If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? 70 Have you thought about the fire that you kindle. 71 Is it you that produce the trees for it, or are We the producers? 72 We have made it to be a reminder and a benefit for the wayfarers. 73 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
