No! By the moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mankind,- 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 save those who shall have attained to righteousness: 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were frightened (wild) donkeys. 50 Fleeing from a lion! 51 Indeed, each one of them desires to be given unrolled scrolls. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay, this surely is an admonition: 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
