In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 and the severally severing 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
