(Moses) said: My Lord! relieve my mind 25 and ease my task for me. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 so that they may understand my speech; 28 And appoint for me a minister from my family - 29 Let it be my brother Aaron 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 Let him be my partner in this task 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember you often. 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 God said, "You have been granted your request, Moses." 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 I chose you for Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go both to Firon, surely he has become inordinate; 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 He asked: "Who then is that Lord of yours, O Moses?" 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 He replied: "The knowledge of that is with my Lord, duly recorded: my Lord never errs, nor forgets,- 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
