The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah's commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to Him, and highly exalted be He above what they associate (with Him). 1 He sends down the angels with the soul of faith – the divine revelations – towards those among His bondmen He wills that, “There is no worship except for Me, therefore fear Me.” 2 He has created the heavens and the earth for just ends: Far is He above having the partners they ascribe to Him! 3 He has created man from Nutfah (mixed drops of male and female sexual discharge), then behold, this same (man) becomes an open opponent. 4 And the cattle -- He created them for you; in them is warmth, and uses various, and of them you eat, 5 And ye have a sense of pride and beauty in them as ye drive them home in the evening, and as ye lead them forth to pasture in the morning. 6 They carry your heavy loads to lands which you would not have been able to reach without great difficulty. Your Lord is certainly Compassionate and All-Merciful. 7 He created horses, mules and donkeys for riding and for splendour. He created other things too which you do not know. 8 It is for Allah to show the way. Some swerve from it, but had He willed, He would have guided all of you. 9
