Verily Ibrahim was a pattern, devout unto Allah, upright, and, not of the associaters. 120 ever thankful for His favors. He chose him and He guided him to a Straight Path. 121 And We gave him good in this world, and in the next he will most surely be among the good. 122 Then We revealed to thee: 'Follow thou the creed of Abraham, a man of pure faith and no idolater.' 123 The Sabbath was only made (strict) for those who disagreed (as to its observance); But Allah will judge between them on the Day of Judgment, as to their differences. 124 Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best. Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has strayed from His way, and He is most knowing of who is [rightly] guided. 125 If you have to retaliate, do so to the extent you have been injured; but if you forbear it is best for those who bear with fortitude. 126 Endure thou patiently (O Muhammad). Thine endurance is only by (the help of) Allah. Grieve not for them, and be not in distress because of that which they devise. 127 Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinun (good-doers, - see the footnote of V. 9:120). 128
