Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 do not, O my Sustainer, let me be one of those evildoing folk!" 94 And indeed, We are able to show you what We have promised them. 95 Repel evil with the best deeds; We well know the matters that they fabricate. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 (But the unbelievers will persist) until when death comes to one of them he will say: "O Lord, send me back again 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 Then when the Trumpet is blown, there will be no more relationships between them that Day, nor will one ask after another! 101 Then he whose balances shall be heavy - these! they are the blissful ones. 102 and he whose scales are light -- they have lost their souls in Gehenna dwelling forever, 103 The Fire will sear their faces, and they therein will have taut smiles. 104 Have not My revelations been rehearsed unto you, and them ye have been belying? 105 They will answer, "Lord, misfortune overcame us and we became an erring people. 106 Our Lord, bring us forth out of it! Then, if we revert, we shall be evildoers indeed.' 107 He saith: Begone therein, and speak not unto Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 Verily I have recompensed them today, for they bore patiently, verily they are the achievers. 111 He will say: How long tarried ye in the earth, counting by years? 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: 'You have tarried a little, did you know? 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 So, exalted be Allah, the True King! There is no god but He, the Lord of the Great Throne. 116 And whoever invokes (or worships), besides Allah, any other ilah (god), of whom he has no proof, then his reckoning is only with his Lord. Surely! Al-Kafirun (the disbelievers in Allah and in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, pagans, idolaters, etc.) will not be successful. 117 And say (O Muhammad SAW): "My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for You are the Best of those who show mercy!" 118
