Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Indeed, We have the power to restore his very finger tips! 4 Nay! (Man denies Resurrection and Reckoning. So) he desires to continue committing sins. 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 That Day will Man say: "Where is the refuge?" 10 No indeed; not a refuge! 11 unto thy Lord that Day is the recourse. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. 14 Whatever the excuses he may offer. 15 Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an) to make haste therewith. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then lo! upon Us (resteth) the explanation thereof. 19 No indeed; but you love the hasty world, 20 And neglect the Hereafter. 21 On that Day there shall be radiant faces, 22 and look forward to receiving mercy from their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 In the thought that some back-breaking calamity was about to be inflicted on them; 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 And the dying one is certain that it is the [time of] separation 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
