The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 [But,] verily, they who attain to faith and do righteous deeds shall [in the life to come] have gardens through which running waters flow - that triumph most great! 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 The Lord of the glorious Throne, 15 Who does as He pleases. 16 Has the story of the hordes 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
