And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great affliction. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was of the same faith: 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 And We blessed him, and Isaac; and of their seed some are good-doers, and some manifest self-wrongers. 113
