۞ I swear by the fallings of the stars 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 Behold, it is a truly noble discourse, 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Then why do ye not (intervene) when (the soul of the dying man) reaches the throat,- 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 do you not bring back his soul, if you speak truly? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 There will be the salutation by those of the right hand: "Peace on you. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
