The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 by the Promised Day, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 The only reason for which they tormented the believers was the latter's belief in God, the Majestic, and Praiseworthy. 8 Whose kingdom spreads over the heavens and the earth. God is witness over everything. 9 Those who persecuted the believing men and women and never repented, there is for them the punishment of Gehenna (Hell), and for them the punishment of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Truly strong is the Grip (and Power) of thy Lord. 12 It is He who originates and repeats. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
