No, by the moon! 32 And the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 A warning for people -- 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In gardens, they shall ask each other 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will reply: 'We were not among those who prayed 43 and we did not feed the poor, 44 We used to wade (in vain dispute) with (all) waders, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
